Offa's Dyke - North / South

The guidebooks presented here - "Offa´s Dyke Path South / Offa´s Dyke Path North" by Ernie and Kathy Kay and Mark Richards, published in the series "National Trail Guides” by Aurum Press follow the layout of Offa´s Dyke from its southern end in Chepstow for 177 miles (285 km) to Prestatyn on the northern Welsh Coast.

Offa´s Dyke Path South covers the trail from Chepstow to Knighton on 144 pages. Offa´s Dyke Path North lead you on another 142 pages further on from Knighton to Prestatyn. The guide on the southern part includes two key maps, scale 1:50.000 and additional maps for each stage, scale 1:25.000. The northern part includes three key maps and also numerous maps for each stage. The maps are based on Explorer maps from Ordnance Survey.

The two books consist not only of a detailed description of the trail but also of cultural and historical accounts of the places the walk touches. Also provided within are numerous circular walks which make the path attractive not only to the seasoned long-distance walker but to day visitors as well.
