From Hainchen to Lützeln
The Westerwald variant passes through the gentle hills of the Hoher Westerwald, where the differences in altitude are much smaller compared to the Hochsauerland. In contrast to the wooded mountains of the Rothaargebirge, here you predominantly walk through the open countryside. Larger wooded areas are rather rare.
