From Jagdhaus to Lützel
From Jagdhaus, a spot of open country inside a densely forested area, the track leads through extensive nature reserves and takes you to the Rhein-Weser tower (Rhein-Weser-Turm). From the tower's observation platform you have a far-reaching panoramic view of the southern Sauerland. The track passes the Schwarzbachtal nature reserve where the Rothaarsteig follows the banks of the Schwarzbach stream.
This area is followed by the heathland of the "Heinsberger Heide". You cross the Dreiherrenstein (673 metres), pass the Ginsburg and finally reach Lützel. But shortly before Lützel you walk through the "Ginsburger Heide". It is a stretch of land where no forestry activity takes place and which is therefore characterized by a large amount of ecologically important dead wood.
