From Neuastenberg to Jagdhaus

The Rothaarsteig crosses the villages Langwiese and Hohenlohe and takes you into the forest again. It is especially the area near the "Friedensquelle" where you can find the V-shaped valleys that are typical of the Rothaargebirge, created by streams that have eaten their way into the rock.

At the "Heidenstock" the Rothaarsteig splits up into two routes, one variant through the valleys and another one that continues to take you over the heights. If you chose the latter one you will walk along a forest path equipped with sculptures. Here you come across two works of the artists Angar Niehof and Nils Udo. The variant through the valleys passes the Grubenbachtal and the villages Schanze and Latrop.

Both tracks join again, and after another passage through a lot of woodland you reach Jagdhaus.
