From Willingen to Neuastenberg

The first part of this stage is mainly through woodland again. Later you will walk through a lot of open countryside offering many opportunities for views. Passing „Neuer Hagen", the largest coherent heathland of North Rhine Westphalia, the route ascends up to the Clemensberg.

The track follows a medieval trade route, passes the spring of the river Ruhr and takes you to Winterberg. Shortly after Winterberg you have reached the „roof of Westphalia", an extensive plateau with a nice view of the town. Finally the track crosses the nature reserve of the Kahler Asten where there is opportunity to take-in lots of scenic panoramic views once again.
