Your walking path: Home  > Germany  > Nahe Valley  > Kirn / Bad Sobernheim
30.07.2010

From Kirn to Bad Sobernheim

The path makes a long swerve to the Kellenbachtal. You walk around Schloss Dhaun, which majestically keeps guard at the entrance of this valley. Regrettably, the castle is not open for visitors. The way, which runs over the heights in a little distance to the Nahe, repeatedly offers you scenic views. The first part of it is mainly on forestry tracks, passing woodlands. In the second half the path runs through vineyards for the most part.

An overnight-stay in Weiler or Monzigen might perhaps be recommendable for some, since this stage is rather long, including three climbs. In both places there will be most certainly the chance of a wine-tasting, because here you have finally arrived in the heart of the Nahe wine-growing district, the "Weinland Nahe".
