From Wemding to Harburg

The first part of this the Franconia Way's final leg - between Wemding and Gosheim - mostly passes through woodland and the route is sometimes a little confusing. At Gosheim the keep of a medieval castle now serves as a church steeple.

The following hills and open plateaus once more offer Franconian scenery at its best. There are beautiful meadows and woods as well as distant views of the surrounding countryside.

The way reaches the river Wörnitz at Ronheim and shortly after that takes you to Harburg. Here the medieval castle of the same name keeps guard high above the town and the river and thus impressively rounds off your walk through Franconia.
