Your walking path: Home  > Germany  > Franconia  > Neumarkt / Berching

From Neumarkt to Berching

After an initial climb back to Höhenberg you commence another long and exhausting leg. For more than 30 km, long stretches of the way lead you along the edge of the Franconian Alb. Several times the way leaves the plateau taking you downhill before another climb takes you back to the heights a short while after.

The Franconia Way passes several small villages and passages through fields, meadows, woodlands and along the edge of the forest.

The way eventually leads you downhill to Berching which is located at the banks of the historic Ludwigs canal.
