From Mernes to Flörsbach
Mernes is idyllically located in the Jossatal. Since there is only limited bus service, it is advisable to book accommodation there.
After a longer ascent right after todays start, the Eselsweg remains almost constantly on a level of 500 metres. Lettgenbrunn is the second and last village you pass through on the Eselsweg.
After passing a crucifix called "Burgjosser Heiliger" and the Roßkopf, walkers should not rely solely on their maps, since the Eselsweg has been newly marked on this stretch not long ago. Just follow the marking, which is again excellent, and there won't be any problems.
Flörsbach, at the end of the stage, offers plenty of accomodation.
