From Riedenburg to Kelheim

The scenic route remains true to its character and towards the end it again offers plenty of attractions. In places steeply up and downhill it leads through a splendid forest, next to the massive Jurassic rocks and picturesque Prunn castle.

Nearing the end, the route departs from the canal and travels along the 'Celtic embankment' until it reaches 'Weltenburg ravine', the famous Danube watershed. Along this Danube bank we reach the destination of this long hike - Kelheim.
