From Dollnstein to Eichstätt

This is quite a short stage, which follows the Altmühl River and going up and down again provides you with beautiful sights. Also here on the way you come across beautiful wilderness overgrown with junipers. Conveniently the path leads through rocky Jurassic scenery, e.g. a group of rocks near Dollnstein and fossil quarries around Blumenberg. Towards the end from the top you see Echstätt, a baroque town, which houses the information centre of the Altmühl Landscape Park.
